After years of working abroad in high-stress environments, we decided that the rat race was not for us and realised that peace and well-being was more important than anything else.
We set out to find the perfect location to settle down. Three years later, on a winding dusty road in the Langkloof valley, we finally found what we were looking for. Nestled on a ridge in the valley on the edge of the Keurboomsriver was a place so spectacular, we knew it had to be shared with the world.
Die Beloofde Land was registered in our names in 2018, and soon after moving to the farm we realised there was no cell phone signal. We spent several days without any connection to the outside word. This was the best thing that could have happened to us.
While preparing to open our doors, we decided that we would like to afford our guests the same opportunity – a “digital detox”.
Die Beloofde Land is a place to bask in the beauty of the area. It’s an escape from technology; a chance to log off and truly experience the sights, smells and sounds of the great outdoors.
